Regulatory Legal Counsel at Philips

Agnes provides legal support to the businesses at Philips, in cooperation with the Regulatory and Quality Function, with special attention on European regulatory matters. She has gained experience in this field since the beginning of the EU MDR implementation activities at her employer, resulting in continued, up-to-date involvement in the evolvement of this regulation and its interpretation by the industry. By now, she has built up expertise on a variety of legal and regulatory challenges a medical device manufacturer must deal with during the entire lifecycle of a product. She also guides the businesses with the compliance needs of clinical testing/evaluation activities and other healthcare compliance matters.

Prior to this role, she operated as a business lawyer advising on legal aspects of R&D and procurement activities and assisted the legal review of advertising materials for medical devices.

Starting at Philips Research, she got acquainted with healthcare regulatory and compliance matters with regard to the very early phases of product development.

Agnes obtained her law degree in Hungary where she was born. After she came to the Netherlands she studied International and European Business Law at the University of Tilburg and gained a Master of Laws degree (LL. M.).Thereafter, Agnes studied Dutch jurisprudence (Rechtsgeleerdheid) at the Open University of the Netherlands.
