Bachelor degree in Pharmacy. Alcalá de Henares University. Madrid (Spain).
From the end of 2018, acting as the Deputy Director of Medical Devices Department of the Spanish Agency (AEMPS).
Spanish member of the Medical Devices Coordination Group (MDCG)
Since October 2021, member of the CAMD Executive Group, acting as co-chair
Previously, between 2006 and 2018, as the Head of Service of the Vigilance and Marketing Surveillance Unit of Medical Devices, responsible for the coordination and management of all the vigilance notifications. During these 12 years, I was member of the Vigilance Expert Group, an IMDRF European member for the NCAR and until 2012 member of the Group 2 of the GHTF.
In 2015, I worked as a National Expert in Professional Training at the Commission. During this period, I performed several audits for Notified Bodies designation. I´m currently national expert for joint assessments.
At the begining of my proffessional life, I worked coordinating centralised procedures for medicines marketing authorisations and also managing the AEMPS Scientific Advice Unit for medicines. Additionaly during 2 years I worked as a Clinical Assessor for human medicines at the AEMPS.
