Christina Reufsteck

Biocompatibility Expert at TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH

Christina studied Biology and earned a PhD in cancer research. Afterwards, she joined an accredited biocompatibility test laboratory, where she conducted studies of cytotoxicity, hemocompatibility and implantation according to the ISO 10993 series. Since 2014, she is working as biocompatibility expert at the Notified Body TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH in Munich, Germany, and assesses the Technical Documentation of high-risk products. She is the main responsible for biocompatibility within TÜV SÜD, a member of the German working committee for ISO/TC 194 (Biological and clinical evaluation of medical devices) and speaks at biocompatibility conferences.
