National Coordinator at Trial Nation MedTech

Louise Hansen has spent most of her time in the last five years on facilitating clinical studies – whether it be pharmaceuticals or medical devices – as she is part of the Clinical Trial Unit at Aalborg University Hospital in Denmark. This is a unit that supports researchers within North Denmark Region with knowledge and support for clinical trials – both academic and industry-sponsored.

Denmark has a long and proud tradition of providing the best conditions for the conduct of clinical trials and -investigations. Trial Nation continuously work on improving the ecosystem with both member organisations and collaborators, and therefore dialogue and matchmaking between hospitals and companies are of special importance to the work of Trial Nation.

As the national coordinator in Trial Nation for MedTech studies in Denmark, Louise is in contact with many companies who wish to conduct clinical studies in Denmark. Through this role, she has guided many companies to find the best pathway through the jungle of market access for medical devices in Denmark.

Louise Hansen holds a Master in Medicine with Industrial Specialisation from Aalborg University and a PhD in health economics. Louise has worked with health economics and market access of health technology for the past 13 years.
