Dr. Yvonne Naegelin is Head of the Division Medical Devices Clinical Investigations at the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products (Swissmedic).

Yvonne studied Human Medicine at the University of Basel in Switzerland. She received her specialist training at the Neurological Clinic of the University Hospital Basel, where she worked as a consultant neurologist. Her clinical work and her research focused on people with Multiple Sclerosis. She was Investigator and Principal Investigator of numerous clinical studies and author/co-author of multiple scientific publications. She was visiting research fellow at the Cardiff School of Biosciences, Cardiff University in Cardiff UK. She is a lecturer for neurology at the University of Basel based on her knowledge on cohort- and interventional studies for people with MS, translational research projects, the development of validated biomarkers as well as her knowledge on clinical trials with medical devices.
