With 15 years experience in procurement, Said Amara is currently the S2P (Source To Pay) Transformation Lead at Nokia with responsibility for leading the procurement new organization design and mode of operation model from source to pay. His core focus is to drive greater efficiency, effectiveness, user Experience and stakeholder engagement via shared services centers, digitalization with stringer procurement focus on strategy.
In his previous role, Said was the global procurement process automation strategy and planning with a core focus on Robotic Process Automation (RPA). He has as well successfully led the procurement integration of Alcatel Lucent after its acquisition by Nokia in 2016.
Prior to joining NOKIA, Said worked in various senior Procurement roles at several companies, including GlaxoSmithKline, Emirates Airlines, Reckitt Benckiser and PSA/Peugeot-Citroen group. Notable is his 4 years as Head of Procurement MENA for GlaxoSmithKline where he has structured a new procurement department achieving a 2 Million Pounds savings year on year.
Said completed his Master’s Degree in International Purchasing Management (MAI), from KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux, France in 2005.
His professional interests focus on organization transformation and new technologies such Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain, Crowed Sourcing and Robotics.
He is married with 2 children, enjoys football, running and in his spare time he enjoys coaching peers & friends in leadership skills.
