Dr. Munir Zia is R&D Coordinator at Fauji Fertilizer Pakistan since 2001 and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the School of Biosciences, University of Nottingham, UK. With a focus on soil fertility, plant nutrition, and environmental geochemistry, Dr. Zia has conducted research in Pakistan, Australia, the US, and the UK. His areas of interest include developing enhanced efficiency fertilizers, studying the spatial variability of essential crop nutrients (especially micronutrients), GIS-based soil fertility mapping, and the link between agriculture and human nutrition, particularly zinc. Dr. Zia also holds the FAO (UN) Chair for the Asian Soil Partnership - Pillar 2 for the Asia region.
