Design insiders regularly refer to him as “one of the most influential car designers of our time”.
After graduating from Art Center College of Design in California, Frank began his career in 1986 with Ford Motor Company in Germany. There he designed the now iconic Escort Cosworth. He then moved to the BMW Group in 1991 and designed the new MINI.
In 2002 he moved to Ferrari and Maserati in Italy as their first ever Design Director. There he was responsible for the designs of the Ferrari F430, the FXX Super Enzo and the Maserati MC12, among many other acclaimed supercars.
He then became the Design Director in 2006 for Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo.
From 2008 – 2017 he was the Design Director for McLaren where he was responsible for creating the brand’s unique design identity and team ethos. His portfolio there includes the McLaren 12C, P1, P1GTR, 650S, 675LT, 570S, 570GT and the 720S.
He now has his own global product design brand and also works in the field of innovative and disruptive transportation design technology, transforming the future of transportation.
