Ming LuoProfessor at Georgia State University, USASpeaker
Profile
Dr. Ming Luo is a professor in the Department of Chemistry, Georgia State University. He has more than 30 years of experience in studying virus structures. His main interests focus on protein structures of negative strand RNA viruses (NSV). The new discovery leads to a new paradigm for how the NSV nucleocapsid is assembled and how it serves as the template for virus specific RNA synthesis. His current research applies his virology knowledge to arm vesicular stomatitis virus for cancer treatment. Dr. Luo received his BS degree from Wuhan University in 1982, and his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1987.
