Carine Beidas is an EMEA Tax Managing Director with Royal Bank of Canada where she has worked since 2013, in charge of tax advice and counsel including risk management support and oversight to various business units . Her career in tax has spanned the entire range of financial services, in particular investment management, insurance (life and general), banking and fiduciary services with reference to the international corporate tax affairs of the providers as well as the tax-efficiency and risk management of their products. She has worked for Barclays, where she covered the investment management, private banking and insurance businesses throughout Barclays Group, Prudential, on the life insurance front, and Mazars, where she was responsible for developing the life insurance and investment management tax service and value proposition, as well as looking after the tax affairs of various Lloyds syndicates.

Throughout her career she has been active in the field of industry representation in connection with tax measures impacting the financial services business.
