Christos Panagiotakos works with CBRE’s Ottawa office as a Vice President in the Debt and Structured Finance group. Before joining CBRE, Christos was the Director of Real Estate Banking at Scotia Bank, covering Eastern Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

With over 16 years of commercial mortgage structuring in all asset classes, his specialties include Multifamily Development, Student Housing Development, Land Acquisition and Servicing (tract, mid-rise, and high-rise). He has developed many solid and lasting relationships over his career with Lenders and CMHC. With a strong knowledge base of policies and guidelines and over 16 years of experience collaborating with CMHC, Christos has navigated many clients through obtaining an optimal certificate of insurance.

Furthermore, Christos has amassed experience in the field and, as a former Bank Director with Credit authority, can professionally present loan requests to various Lender's credit groups with a high level of expertise and comfort, presenting salient facts to decision makers and supporting his client's requirements. Christos strategically guides investors to secure a suitable deal structure for the diverse needs of the specific client and the asset type from beginning to end.

During Christos’ time with Scotia Bank, he oversaw the Commercial Real Estate portfolio across the five provinces, structuring some of the region's largest and most complex land servicing loans.

Christos’ focused priority is to provide his clients with the best outcomes for the project's financing structure to ensure the long-term sustainability of their investment.
