Alexandre Dangis holds a Masters’ Degrees in Business Administration and in International and European Law from the University of Brussels. After having been involved in the family business producing plastic bags and selling injection and blow molding machinery for a Swiss company MAG Alexandre set up in 1989 the European Plastics Converters (EuPC) association, which is the European representative for plastics converters in Brussels representing a sector of over 50 000 companies (mainly SMEs) and a turnover of almost € 300 Billion. EuPC works with the European Institutions on legislative matters such as The EU Circular Economy Package , Waste & REACh legislation, the EU Packaging & Packaging waste Directive, the EU Plastic Strategy and therefore providing his expertise and in-depth knowledge in integrating the plastics industry into a developing European circular economy for plastics. In 1996 he also set up Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) which he managed during 20 years. Alexandre was also managing director of Polymer Comply Europe CVBA (PCE) , a service company providing compliance services and the resources needed to work on issues affecting plastics converters in Europe. He is also the CoFounder and President of the Waste Free Oceans foundation (WFO),an NGO fighting against the problem of marine litter at global level. WFO has activities in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. He served as well as Advisory board member of Plastic Energy Ltd in London, board member of the Vinyl Foundation and former board member of VinylPlus. Since 1st January 2023 he is Vice-President Global Corporate Affairs at the GreenDot Group who owns Der Grüner Punkt in Germany.
