Aslihan Arikan is a Chemical Engineer. She has a Master Degree on Polymers. Aslihan Arikan graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. She worked as engineer, specialist and project coordinator at different public institutions and private companies. She was employed at ASD Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association in 2005 and has worked as General Secretary of ASD between July 2013 and July 2024. She is currently the general consultant of the association. She has also taken active roles at various committees and working groups for the regulations and standards regarding packaging nationally and globally (ISO and CEN).
Aslihan Arikan is known for her expertise in circular economy, sustainability, design for recycling and packaging materials. She makes presentations in national and global exhibitions, conferences and congresses. She participates in jury meetings and evaluations of various competitions and contests for packaging design. She provides “Packaging and Packaging Technology Training Programs” nationally and globally. Aslihan Arikan is the member of IPPO (International Packaging Press Organisation), Honorary Member of APF (Asian Packaging Federation) and former VP Education of WPO (World Packaging Organisation). She currently serves as WPO Internal Auditor.
