Carlo Pirrone

Carlo Pirrone has been Secretary General of FEVE – the European Container Glass Federation – since March 2025. In his role he focuses on promoting a competitive circular economy, an efficient regulatory framework for packaging and a coherent EU industrial strategy to support the long-term viability of the European Glass Container industry. Prior to joining FEVE, Mr Pirrone was Director of the Brussels office for Seda International Packaging Group. He also served as member of the Board of Directors of EUROPEN as well as Chair of BusinessEurope’s Environment Working Group. Starting his career at Confindustria, the main Italian business association, he worked for over twelve years on international relations and industrial policy. He holds a master’s degree in economics and management of public administration and international institutions from Bocconi University and is fluent in Italian, English, French, and Spanish.
