Profile
Etienne is the Food Packaging Forum’s Engagement Director. He is responsible for creating and supporting opportunities for collaboration and engages with stakeholders to ensure FPF tools generate real impact. He also leads the ongoing development of the Understanding Packaging (UP) Scorecard.
Before joining FPF, Etienne spent seven years at ETH Zürich, building and leading an independent research group advancing knowledge on functional lignocellulosic materials and products. He then worked for four years as Senior R&D & Innovation manager for Swiss Wood Solutions, a business & technology incubator for sustainable, wood-based products.
Etienne holds a MSc degree in Chemistry & Chemical Engineering from CPE Lyon (France), a MSc degree in Materials Science from the University of New Hampshire (USA), and a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Basel (Switzerland).
