Mike is the Managing Director of EPRO the circular plastics association, whose members include producer responsibility organisations (PROs) and national waste plastic collection bodies. He has 33 years’ experience in the waste management and recycling sector. Around half of his career has been spent in commercial and operational roles and the remainder as a consultant. Areas of specialism include the collection and treatment of recyclables, materials recycling, markets for secondary raw materials, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and waste policy & legislation. He has an in-depth understanding of the plastics recycling value chain both in Europe and internationally. As well as his work with EPRO, he is the Technical Director at CEFLEX and part of their leadership team. He also chairs the technical group in EXPRA.
