Profile

Natalie Konings is a Brussels‑based regulatory lawyer with 15 years of experience advising companies on EU chemicals and environmental legislation. She supports businesses in addressing increasingly complex sustainability obligations, with a particular focus on the regulatory challenges shaping packaging, waste and circular economy policy.

Natalie specializes in REACH, CLP, biocides and related product regulations, and regularly advises on how these regimes intersect with sector‑specific rules such as cosmetics, medical devices and consumer products. She frequently assists clients in navigating regulatory requirements that directly impact packaging—ranging from substances in packaging materials and migration limits to restrictions under REACH, POPs, RoHS and the evolving Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

Her work spans the full regulatory lifecycle: from initial registrations and data‑sharing strategies to highly technical enforcement procedures and sanction schemes. She also guides companies on identifying and leveraging exemptions and derogations to ensure compliance while enabling market access and innovation.

She is regular speaker at conferences on chemicals, sustainability and circular economy. She is a native French speaker and fluent in English and Dutch.
