Paul Christiaens has been working for Verpact, the Dutch PRO for packaging, since 2008. In this position, he has focused on data and reporting and on EU policy matters. This includes preparing the reports to the national authorities on the recycling results, the design of the reporting requirements for producers, comparing statistics from various member states. Next to this, Paul is the chairman of the standardisation committee on packaging of NEN, the Dutch member of CEN.

With respect to data, his goal is to analyse the consequences of the reporting obligations from the PPWR and that from other legal requirements, to facilitate a reporting system that is as easy and robust as possible.
