With a long-standing background as an environmental and regulatory lawyer, he advises on subjects concerning the ‘E’ in ESG. This encompasses environmental topics, such as permitting, pollution, hazardous substances regulation, packaging and (packaging) waste requirements to emissions, various EPR obligations, and chemical substances. He, particularly, focuses on the interface between sustainability and product compliance, tackling topics such as environmental and safety requirements, (environmental) labeling, energy saving, accessibility, and repairability under, i.a., the PPWR, EcoDesign Regulation, Battery Regulation, WEEEE, RoHS, REACH, POPs Regulation, and EU F-Gas Regulation.

As a partner in an international law firm with traditionally a strong focus on technology and regulation, he understands how these sectors operate, and the environmental regulatory challenges associated with their complex business processes. Due to the complexity of product design and supply chains, he is frequently involved at an early stage of the legislative process concerning various EU environmental and sustainability legislation.
