Profile
Yaprak Hamarat is a designer researcher. Her works unfold in two axes: pragmatist aesthetics and social design. She conducts participatory, design-driven qualitative research projects in sustainability, citizen engagement, and ecology. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Design from the University of Montreal (2019). She held a lecturer position at the University of Montreal (2011-2016), a temporary assistant professor position at the University of Nimes (2016-2017) and a postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Liege (2020-2022). She is currently a Policy Analyst Designer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.
