Vice President, Reimbursement and Policy Insights at AmerisourceBergen

Corey Ford is a Vice President within the Commercial Strategy team at Xcenda. In this role, Mr. Ford leads the Reimbursement and Policy Insights team focused on reimbursement, health policy, and patient support strategies, helping manufacturers devise and execute strategies to enhance patient access to critical medications.

In addition to reimbursement and patient support strategy, Mr. Ford’s experience ranges from the implementation of health reform to the Medicare Advantage and Part D programs. He assists clients in assessing relevant market trends related to the Health Insurance Marketplace and Medicare, while deciphering the impact to product and pipeline portfolios. Given his deep Part D expertise, Mr. Ford is recognized as a top expert on the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act on industry and patient access. Additionally, he has helped spearhead Xcenda’s thought leadership efforts as a speaker at the past 6 CBI Patient Assistance Program conferences, leading discussion on topics such as the Affordable Care Act repeal-and-replace legislation’s impact on patient access and the emerging prevalence of copay accumulator programs.

Before joining Xcenda, Mr. Ford worked at Avalere Health where he focused on health reform and Medicare Part D issues for government affairs and market access teams at pharmaceutical and biotech companies. He also has experience within the managed care industry as he worked at the Aetna subsidiary Strategic Resource Company in Columbia, SC.

Mr. Ford received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina and his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
