Dr. Rios is the Founder and President of the National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF), dedicated to improving Hispanic health through leadership, research, and education. She has served on numerous boards, including the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda, Better Medicare Alliance, and Health Equity Coalition for Chronic Diseases. Dr. Rios has received prestigious awards for her contributions, including recognition from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Congressional Caucuses, and the American College of Physicians, where she is a Fellow and Master.
Previously, Dr. Rios was the founding President & CEO of the National Hispanic Medical Association and held advisory roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She has also led initiatives with organizations like the Chicano/Latino Medical Association of California and the National Network of Latin American Medical Students. Dr. Rios earned her BA from Stanford University, MSPH and MD from UCLA, and completed her residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine and Primary Care Research.
