David M. Ryan is Senior Vice President, Legal and Chief Compliance Officer at Ardelyx, Inc., where he has been responsible for establishing the company's strategy and mission for commercial compliance and ethics, and supports the company’s business operations from a legal perspective. David received a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and received his juris doctor from Boston College Law School. Before joining Ardelyx, he served as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Epizyme, Inc., where he designed and implemented a comprehensive compliance program for that company’s first two commercial oncology launches. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Associate General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Haemonetics Corp., a medical device company. Prior to that, he was a partner at the law firm of Nixon Peabody LLP, where he spent fifteen years as a litigator focusing on white collar criminal matters, with a special emphasis on defending and pharmaceutical medical device manufacturers.
