Tim leads PCMA’s federal and state policy efforts and is the association’s voice on federal executive branch advocacy. His seven years in the PBM industry have seen a wave of reforms, on rebates, transparency, formularies, and vertical integration. Prior to PCMA, Tim worked at the US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Planning and Evaluation or ASPE, on Medicare Part B rulemaking and prescription drug pricing policy. He also spent 11 years with Genentech, initially on drug safety and epidemiology project work, and eventually running cross-portfolio federal and state public policy. Earlier work experiences include Optum Insights and the California Department of Health Care Services on vaccine-preventable diseases. Tim has a Masters in Public Health, focused in biostatistics, from Boston University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Boston College. He lives on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC where he coaches both of his sons’ recreational soccer teams.
