Paul Johnson is Associate Vice President of Compliance at Amgen, the world’s largest independent global biotechnology firm. In his role, Mr. Johnson leads the compliance partnership team for Amgen’s Global Rare Disease Business as well as other Amgen Global Functions. In this role, he was the primary compliance lead for Amgen’s recent acquisition and subsequent integration of Horizon Therapeutics to form Amgen’s new global Rare Disease business. Prior to this role, he served as Amgen’s compliance head for Amgen’s U.S. business as well as global compliance operations.

Prior to joining Amgen, He served as Senior Counsel at the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Health and Humans Services. In this role, he represented the OIG in resolving the government’s administrative authorities.

Mr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law where he concentrated in healthcare law.
