George Pickering, Assistant General Counsel, Pharma R&D, Oncology and European Medical, GlaxoSmithKline, London. George is a City-trained solicitor with over 20 years’ legal experience working both in-house and in private practice based in London and Brussels. The vast majority of his experience has been gained advising organisations active in the life sciences sector with particular expertise in intellectual property licensing, pharmaceutical research and development as well as the promotion of medicinal products. George is currently responsible for legal support for GSK’s Medicinal Science & Technology organisation (which includes artificial intelligence and functional genomics activities), its oncology cell therapy programmes and its European Medical Affairs function.
