Joe Favatella, PharmD, MBA, is the Chief Administrative Officer of Specialty Pharmacy at University of Pennsylvania Health System. In this role, Joe is responsible for specialty pharmacy services across the health system, which includes 16 outpatient pharmacies. The Penn Specialty Pharmacy program is an integrated patient management program that provides patients with access to more than 250 specialty pharmacy products across more than 15 service lines. Joe is responsible for interfacing with manufacturers and payers to drive access for Penn Medicine patients and service offerings. Joe received his PharmD from Rutgers University and MBA from Saint Joseph’s University. He completed his pharmacy administration residency at Penn.
