Katherine Sistrunk is a Senior Manager of Health and Reimbursement Policy at Kimbell & Associates, where she advises, educates, and collaborates with clients on health policy, reimbursement, and federal health program matters and coverage, coding, and payment parameters. Prior to joining K&A in 2023, Katherine served as a Charge, Rapid Response, and Clinical Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where she treated critically ill patients with various acute and chronic conditions with a focus on respiratory, liver, renal, and heart failure. Katherine’s prior policy experience includes serving as a Public Policy Intern at AMGA: Advancing High Performance Health in Alexandria, VA. Katherine graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Leadership and minors in Spanish and Society & Health. She was a member of the Trent Lott Leadership Institute and Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, with her senior thesis focusing on vaccine policy. Most recently, she graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing.
