Katy Lees, MSBA, is the Director of 340B Policy and Business Strategy at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. In this role, she oversees 340B Program compliance across the health system, managing a team of 15 responsible for real-time contract pharmacy and outpatient pharmacy audits, as well as the routine monitoring and maintenance of 340B compliance in the hospital’s mixed-use areas. Katy collaborates closely with UR Government Relations and other safety-net providers to advocate for the preservation of the 340B Program. She meets with key lawmakers on Capitol Hill biannually to explain the program’s value and its importance in stretching scarce resources.

Katy earned her BS in health administration from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester and recently completed an MS in business analytics from the University of Rochester Simon Business School. She became a 340B Apexus Certified Expert in 2017. Recently, Katy has taken on a secondary role as Principal 340B Program Compliance Advisor with Virtue 340B, to further extend her reach in helping safety net providers administer compliant and effective 340B programs.
