Julian Villar is a multi-cultural professional with 20+ years of experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas and shipping sectors, including 17+ years in international shipping and logistics. Cross-functional experience in finance, debt structuring, strategic planning and investor relations. Lived and worked in Mexico, US, Asia, Spain and the UK. Joined Stolt-Nielsen in 2007, member of the Leadership team.

Julian is responsible for all funding activities of the Stolt-Nielsen Group ($5.0 Billion assets with $2.0+ Billion debt) since 2017 and has raised over $6.2 Billion in debt since 2016.

He has experience in ship financing, experience with USPPs, asset-backed financing, sale & leasebacks, bonds and equity raises, etc.

Julian is a mechanical engineer MBA having graduated from IESE Business School. In his spare time, he is an ultrarunner.
