Head of Finance at Brisa

Manuel joined Brisa’s financial team in December 2002 where he held positions of increasing responsibility. As Head of Finance since 2012, he’s currently responsible for group funding activities, financial risk management, project finance, tax, accounting and corporate treasury. He’s also Board Member at Auto Estradas do Atlântico and Brisal, both Brisa subsidiaries.

Manuel has an extensive background in finance. He started is professional career in 1994, in the Banking sector, where he held different positions as fixed income research analyst, equity derivatives trader and head of equity linked structured products.

Manuel concluded a degree in economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 1994 and an MBA in finance from Universidade Católica Portuguesa in 1999.
