Sameer joined Mizuho in 2020 as a Managing Director with the Debt Private Placement team. Sameer is responsible for global coverage of issuers and investors for corporate, sponsor backed and project finance transactions. He is also a founding member of Mizuho’s capital solutions business and illiquid syndicate desk, a group designed to provide capital solutions to issuers across the capital structure from mezzanine financing to asset based or back non-recourse financing distributed to private credit investors in the 4a2, 144a and CLO markets. Prior to joining Mizuho, Sameer spent 14 years at J.P. Morgan in New York and Australia in Debt Capital Markets and Fixed Income Sales. Sameer has a B.A. from the Ohio State University.
