Hugh is a clinical scientist with wide experience in medical physics and radiation safety. He is an RPA, RWA and MPE and has worked in the public, private and third sectors in Europe, Africa and Asia. Most of his career has been spent in the health sector. He now has various part-time roles: University of Strathclyde / AURPO Radiation Protection Professional Development tutor; HRA Radiation Assurance clinical trial proposal reviewer; and RPA2000-certificated qualified expert adviser to organisations working with radioactivity and x-rays for various purposes, including: veterinary medicine, drug development, cargo inspection, and repair/restoration of vintage watches with radium-luminised dials.
