As RioCan’s first Chief Investment Officer, Andrew Duncan oversees the Trust’s development pipeline and investment transactions to optimize their property portfolio for future growth opportunities. He brings a balanced knowledge of construction, planning, and analytics that allows him to responsibly manage RioCan’s developments, while leveraging expertise in asset classes and deal structures to maximize returns for our unitholders.

Andrew is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and has previously been registered in every province and territory in Canada. He is also a Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED) Green Associate.

Andrew is a member of the Board of Governors for the University of Guelph since 2019 and serves on the Board of Trustees, the Guelph-Humber Advisory Committee and Physical and Digital Infrastructure Committee. In 2021, Andrew joined Sunnybrook Hospital Capital Projects Building Committee as a Community Representative and became a member of the Board in June 2023. He is a former member of the BILD Board of Directors from 2019 to 2023.
