Jeff Appleby joined CIBC in 2002 and is responsible for managing the activities of the Real Estate Investment Banking Group and for the origination and execution of a variety of real estate investment banking transactions.

Over his time at CIBC, Jeff has worked on hundreds of public equity and debt offerings, raising tens of billions of dollars for real estate issuers and has worked on M&A advisory assignments totaling approximately $30 billion. Recent transaction experience includes the establishment of a $1.0 billion industrial JV between Concert Properties and Brookfield, the $4.6 billion sale of Amica Senior Lifestyles and H&R REIT’s sale of $1.5 billion of assets.

Jeff holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University and a BA (Economics) from Western University.
