Kurtis Keeney is an accomplished Chief Executive Officer with more than 30 years of experience leading strategy, driving growth, and executing vision to create a thriving, award-winning enterprise. He is the co-founder and CEO of Flagship Communities REIT (TSX: MHC.U), one of the largest publicly traded regional manufactured housing real estate companies in the United States, providing affordable, unsubsidized housing to families and retirerees across the midwest and upper south.
Under his leadership since the company’s founding in 1995, Flagship has expanded to 84 communities across eight states, diversified its portfolio to include RV resort properties, and developed an industry-leading vertically integrated platform for home sales and financing. Keeney successfully guided the company through its initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange and has consistently delivered value to investors, achieving four consecutive years of increasing cash distributions to unitholders and growing unit value.
A graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Keeney is also deeply committed to community service. He has served as Chairman of the Independence Seniors Association, on the Board of Directors for the Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Center, and as a Board Member for the Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky. He also spearheads Flagship’s charitable initiatives, including back-to-school programs, food pantries, and holiday assistance for residents.
Keeney is a devoted husband and father of two, balancing his business success with a strong dedication to family and philanthropy.
