Rush is a veteran leader in the RIA industry who has been at the forefront of M&A consolidation for over 25 years.

Rush previously served as the head of M&A strategy at CAPTRUST, where he led the firm’s exponential growth through a series of more than 60 acquisitions to become the largest independent RIA in the US with over $1 trillion in client assets.

Prior to joining CAPTRUST in 2013, Rush was the Founder and CEO of WealthTrust, a pioneering consolidator that grew to $10 billion in assets under management through the acquisitions of 15 RIAs across the country.

Earlier in his career, he was a co-founder of a multi-billion dollar institutional RIA based in Nashville, TN.

Rush is originally from Chattanooga, TN. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
