Jeff Richardson is the Founder, Managing Principal, and Chief Investment Officer of Trovera Capital Management, LLC, a California-registered investment adviser. Before entering the profession, he spent more than a decade in Hollywood as a professional screenwriter and script doctor, with earlier working lives as a journalist, line cook, oil refinery project manager, and health insurance appeals specialist. Through all of it, he managed his own investments and studied markets as a second, unpaid full-time job. He passed the Series 65 in November 2025 and launched Trovera in April 2026 around a single question: what would a capital management firm look like if it served Median Net Worth clients as fiercely as High Net Worth clients? He writes the weekly newsletter Trovera Finds and the Substack The Hyperbolic Chamber.
