Mike is a Managing Director and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at CAPTRUST, where he leads acquisition strategy, sourcing, diligence, and transaction execution. With 23 years in the financial advisory business, Mike has extensive experience assessing firms, structuring transactions, and guiding businesses through complex M&A processes.

Before joining CAPTRUST, Mike was as a Managing Director at ECHELON Partners, an M&A investment bank to the RIA and broader financial advisory industry. In his nine years there, he led some of the industry’s most notable transactions, working closely with the top consolidators, aggregators, private equity investors, and COIs.

Prior to ECHELON, Mike worked as a private wealth advisor at Lehman Brothers and UBS, where he pioneered one of Wall Street’s most successful cross-divisional practices between wealth management and investment banking.

Mike earned his BA from Brigham Young University and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
