Johan Hjelm has 25 years of experience in the Nordic and Baltic banking industry, specialising in risk management. Until September 2025, he served as Chief Operational Risk Officer and Head of Group Operational Risk at Nordea Bank, a role from which he is currently on gardening leave. Prior to joining Nordea in 2018, Johan worked as a consultant across a broad range of assignments, including areas such as model risk management, capital adequacy, and bank mergers. From January 2026, he will assume the position of Head of Group Operational Risk at Swedbank.
