Vesa Kantee is the Chief Risk Officer for the Nordea Finance Finland, the largest finance company in Finland. Vesa has a long and thorough experience of banking and financial services industry, particularly in credit and risk management. He has worked in Finland and Sweden, and has a comprehensive knowledge of risks in the financial services in the Nordics.

Vesa has seen and survived the Nordic banking crisis in the nineties and the financial crisis in the following decade. These crunch times, with consequences, gave him competencies and skills which have proved to be very valuable in risk management and in understanding and creating various risk management frameworks.

Vesa holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Helsinki University, and has been a member of many international and domestic financial industry organizations as well as a frequent speaker and chairman in various international conferences.
