Sang Hwan Seo is Director of the Science Unit at the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), Seoul, and Adjunct Professor at Yonsei University School of Medicine. He received his Ph.D. in Immunology from POSTECH and has over a decade of experience in vaccine research, spanning high-risk pathogen biology, immunotherapy, and preclinical vaccine development. His current research focuses on emerging respiratory pathogens, including human adenovirus type 55 and Zika virus, as well as next-generation mRNA vaccine manufacturing platforms. He has contributed to multiple Phase 1–3 clinical vaccine trials and published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals.
