Lijuan Pang

Lijuan Pang studied Pharmacy and Chemical Biology at Peking University in China, and then she obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Basel in Switzerland. Her PhD thesis focused on lead optimization and PK/PD studies of FimH antagonists for the treatment of urinary tract infections. From 2014-2018, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Scripps Research Institute in California, USA, where her research focused on chemo-enzymatic synthesis, high-throughput screening, targeting drug delivery systems and immunology studies. In early 2018, she joined Polyneuron Pharmaceuticals – a biotech company in Basel, Switzerland, where she designed and synthesized carbohydrate/peptide-polymer and protein-polymer conjugates for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. As a project manager, she led project on production of preclinical batch material using bio-catalytic process and project on protein expression and production. From December 2021, Lijuan joined WuXi AppTec and her key responsibilities include project management, liaison internal and external communication, and technical support to business development activities. She is currently working on multiple integrated oligonucleotide drug discovery programs with internal and external collaborators.
