Dr. Rui Zhang has over 10 years of experience in nucleic acid therapeutics, particularly in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). A passionate scientist dedicated to improving human health, he founded XGen to democratize LNP technology and advance nucleic acid therapeutics. With deep expertise in LNPs, Rui and his team at XGen have developed novel LNP mixing technologies to address complex challenges, spanning from discovery to GMP. He earned his PhD at the University of Missouri and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and he previously held leadership roles at Spark Therapeutics (acquired by Roche) and Tessera Therapeutics.
