Dr. He Zhang is the co-founder and CTO of Raina Biosciences, where he leads the team in advancing generative AI powered mRNA design. Trained as a computer scientist, Dr. Zhang has nearly a decade of experience at the intersection of AI and biology, with deep expertise in algorithms, machine learning, and RNA-focused computational methods. His research has focused on pioneering “AI + RNA” approaches for structure prediction, sequence design and drug discovery. Dr. Zhang’s scientific contributions have been recognized through publications in top-tier venues, including first-author papers in Science and Nature, as well as research articles in PNAS, Nucleic Acids Research, and ISMB. Dr. Zhang earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Oregon State University.
