Jay is the Chief Business Officer and acting Chief Financial Offer of Strand Therapeutics, a programmable messenger RNA therapeutics company based in Boston. He has worked in the biotech/pharma industry for almost three decades in positions of increasing responsibly across a multitude of disciplines, usually at the intersection of strategy, finance, and operations. Prior to Strand, Jay was responsible for Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Akouos, Inc., a precision genetic medicines company and played an instrumental role in the sale of the company to Eli Lilly for ~$500M. He previously worked for Sai Life Sciences, Takeda, Millennium, Biogen, Genetics Institute, and as an independent consultant. Jay currently serves as a Trustee of Tower School of Marblehead and on the Board of Directors of Reforest the Tropics. He received a Baccalaureate degree from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Boston University. Jay and his wife have two teenage daughters. When he is not working, Jay loves to ski, sail, paddle, and play chess.
