Informa and ROOFTech care strongly about our network of exhibitors, colleagues and industry communities. It is our top priority to ensure our events will be organized in accordance with official government and local authority guidelines, as well as any venue or location specific regulations. We continue to monitor any changes in the regulations and items will be amended to ensure continued compliance of said regulations.
Please note that all restrictions and requirements are subject to change at any time to best protect the health and safety of all its audiences in accordance with government guidelines and legal allowances.

Health & Safety
All exhibitors over 400 square feet who are performing construction in their booth are required to submit to show management the completed Form 1000 (Registration of Constructors and Employers Engaged in Construction). The form is to be completed by the employer who is constructing or building the booth. If you are using your own staff to build the booth, then you would complete the form with your own company information. If you are using an EAC, then your contractor must complete the form. The Form 1000 must be completed by March 6, 2023 and sent to victoria.grant@informa.com.
You must comply with all health and safety regulations set out in the Exhibitor Health & Safety Document as agreed upon when signing your exhibitor contract.
All other construction activity requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, fall protection, etc. will also be enforced.
All persons active in onsite activities should be properly trained in and aware of the appropriate safety responsibilities pertinent to the tasks they are performing.
- All participants must comply with the legislation contained in the Occupational Health & Safety Act, governed by the Province of Ontario.
- All equipment must be inspected and in proper working condition.
- All persons involved in the move-in and move-out process are required to wear proper protective footwear as per the Occupations Health & Safety Act. Additionally if you are performing construction in your booth you are required to wear hard hats and hi-visibility vests.
- When lifting, test the load for weight if it’s too heavy or awkward, seek assistance.
- When lifting bend your knees, as you lift, keep your back straight and the load close to your body. Don’t twist or side bend while moving with a load.
- As an employer, it is your responsibility to ensure any staff/third party contractors comply with the legislation as well as the Exhibitor Health & Safety Regulations as agreed upon in your contract.
- Please note, no persons under 16 years of age are allowed on the show floor during move-in/move-out.
Hazardous Materials/Products - SDS Required
Exhibitors planning on bringing hazardous materials or products onsite, (including install/ dismantle or in-booth demonstrations) must provide copies of each SDS (safety data sheet) to Tori Grant at victoria.grant@informa.com by March 6, 2023. Exhibitors must have extra copies in their booth, should they be asked to show proof onsite or for emergency situations.
Fire Rules & Regulations
The International Centre maintains a high level of fire safety in the facility and exhibitors are required to follow these Fire Rules & Regulations set out by the city of Mississauga.
PLEASE NOTE: The Ontario Building Code prohibits the use of inflammable materials in booth construction and décor and if any materials or equipment are considered to be hazardous, the Fire Safety Officer at The International Centre will remove them at the exhibitor's expense.
Security
- Exhibitors are required to maintain staff within their booth during all show hours.
- Show Management and The International Centre do not assume any responsibility for losses; therefore, exhibitors should take all reasonable precautions to protect their own property, including valid Commercial General Liability Insurance.
- Security guards will be on 24-hour duty at entrances and exits from the start of move-in to the end of move-out.
