Claire is a leading practitioner in crisis management response, as recognised by her past inclusion in the Lloyd's List 100 most influential people in shipping as one of the Top 10 global shipping lawyers and current Legal 500 and Chambers and Partner rankings. She is currently managing high profile and complex litigation on a number of matters for the travel and container shipping sectors that have attracted significant media attention and associated reputational risks.
As a Master Mariner who spent nine years at sea prior to joining HFW, Claire brings a wealth of practical insight, knowledge and 'hands on' experience to the cases she has the conduct of.
In addition to her case work, Claire is an active participant in various industry forums such as Interferry, WISTA and the UK Chamber of Shipping. She is a Trinity House Younger Brethren and a Shipwright and supports the Seafarers and
Misson to Seafarers' charities, alongside being a champion for diversity and inclusion which was recognised by her being awarded the Merchant Navy Medal of Honour for services to Women and Diversity.
