Jeffrey is a professional mariner with a sea-going career that spans four decades. He commenced his career as a Deck Cadet with Shell in 1976 and attained his Master’s Certificate in 1988. In 1996, he moved into the offshore industry with Co-Flexip Stena and Subsea7, principally serving on dive and subsea construction vessels operating in the North Sea and on a global basis, becoming Master in 2000. Jeff moved ashore during 2016 as a marine consultant and took up a position as Director Maritime with CHIRP Maritime in 2017. In September 2021, he joined The Nautical Institute as Head of Safety & Environment.
