Namrata Nadkarni is the CEO and Founder of Intent Communications. An award-winning journalist with two decades of experience in the maritime industry, she was the recipient of AIG Media's Content CEO of the Year (2023) award and also named Personality of the Year (2023) at the Seahorse Freight Association Journalist Awards.

A skilled speaker and moderator, Namrata is known for her high energy and ability to cross pollinate information from different sectors and deliver unique insights at conferences and roundtables. She has served as a Non-Executive Director at Shoreham Port (feeding in to the Business Risk and Sustainability committees) and chaired the Alternative Fuels Working Group for the World Ports Climate Action Programme (WPCAP). She has also been a member of the steering group for ISWAN's Personal safety of women seafarers’ campaign, a judge for the World Ports Awards and a mentor in the European Commission’s D2XCEL scaling program for European deep tech and digital ventures in Transport, Logistics, Trade, and Smart Cities.

She has worked as part of the IMO's media team, and written content for the International Chamber of Shipping's Leadership Insights Newsletter, CEDA's monthly newsletter, Safety at Sea, Fairplay, The Marine Professional, Lloyd’s List, Seatrade magazine, Seatrade Cruise Review, and Ports and Harbors.
